NEW JERSEY SUPPORT ISRAEL is a humanitarian relief organization, established in 2014 and recognized as a charitable non-profit 501(c)(3) by the IRS in March 2015. Our EIN is: 47-1257878.
How We Started
The first undertaking of the group preceding our organization – then operating as the New Jersey Committee “Support Israel” – was to raise money for an armored school bus for the children of Ofra, an Israeli settlement located near Jerusalem, who attended school at another settlement nearby. The school bus with an inscription painted on its side, “To Israeli children from the Russian-speaking Americans and their friends”, was delivered to the settlement to be used for transportation of children to school in the fall of 2001.
What We Do
Since 2002, the primary focus of our organization has been providing urgent relief to the families of wounded soldiers and victims of terror in Israel. In the past sixteen years (2008-2023), NEW JERSEY SUPPORT ISRAEL provided assistance to 762 such families (some of them multiple times), distributing the total of $576,458.00. In 2023 alone, we were able to assist 66 families, distributing the total of $54,600.00. We have also distributed $7,000.00 among 7 other families affected by the war and evacuated from the communities in Southern Israel, and donated $15,768 to the Israeli non-profit organizations, responding to the emergency. During the prior year, 2022, we were able to assist 51 families, distributing the total of $52,926.00
Our Mission

- To express our solidarity and compassion, raising the spirit of the wounded In order to speed up their healing and recovery
- To participate in public events in support of safety and security of the people of Israel
What makes us unique?
100% of collected donations are used to assist the needy families of victims of terror and wounded soldiers in Israel. Our organization has been involved in charitable activities since 2000. With all volunteer staff, our overhead costs are negligeable and are covered by board members.
